Weddings in Sardinia offer a Pre-Wedding Consultation where we can show you around the local area and a choice of venues that suit your requirements. This tends to be a weekend trip although most couples take one day to see the venues that are available.
When getting married in Italy couples need to certify their identity and prove there is no legal impediment to the marriage. This can be proved by providing the required documents for inspection. You should allow plenty of time to verify these documents with the consulate and to book a date with the town hall and venue.
Under Italian law a wedding is only certified when taking place in a town hall or church. You can have a symbolic wedding on the beach or at a hotel but this is not be legally binding so would need to be preceded by a visit to the town hall to sign the wedding register and prepare all the necessary documentation.
For a more intimate wedding with just the bride and groom, we are able to provide 2 witnesses that are required for the registration of the marriage. If you are having a larger wedding, 2 of your guests can act as witnesses.
